Here's a few panels from a strip drawn in the early nineties, around about the same time as the Sonic the Hedgehog strip, below, for the Red Dwarf Smegazine. It features "Ace Rimmer", a rather more heroic version of the shows wimpy Arnold Rimmer. It was great fun to draw!

I absolutely love the Smegazine and that strip was in the very first issue I bought. I wrote this about my favourite comics and stuff, including this strip.

I suppose the decision to end the publication of the Smegazine was oddly prescient given the long gap between Red Dwarfs VI & VII and having to report on the Grant Naylor split, the unsubstantiated rape allegations and Chris Barrie's reluctance to return.
I'm still holding out for a Volume 3...
